Mpaleng “MK” Khothule – Steward and Principal Agent
Mpaleng “MK” Khothule took ownership of Agape Community Insurance Agency at the beginning of 2021. MK started his insurance career at Travelers Insurance working in the small commercial actuarial area doing reserving, pricing, and research. He also worked in Claims as a liaison between business and IT in an effort to modernize the reporting platform.
At The Hartford MK served on the enterprise data management strategy team. He also served as a product manager in Small Commercial business responsible for 10 state markets.
MK has also served in catalyst role in Business Intelligence space to leverage data as an asset at The Standard.
As an entrepreneur, MK served as a matchmaker between US-based small and medium business and opportunities in Sub-Saharan markets. He’s also been a health and wellness coach.
When he’s not working, MK enjoys time with family, travel, cooking, and playing competitive tennis. He’s also an action-movie buff.
MK worships/fellowships at Mt Olivet Baptist Church where he serves on the Production Ministry. MK and his wife also serve as a marriage coaching team under the Marriage Team Ministry. MK serves on the board of FaithCare, Inc.
MK received a graduate degree at the University of Michigan and undergrad at Texas Southern University.
